Thoughts about CD's packaged in DVD cases!

I has looking on Ebay and found several releases I would buy had they been put out in CD's Packages, but they for some reason probably cost were put out in DVD packages. I hate these type of releases!!!! Does anyone else hate these????

Yeah, I really dislike them - Unblack Metal Scene was notorious for releasing their stuff in DVD cases. It seems it's only the people that get stuff printed through Kunaki that do it often, but it *is* annoying. The only DVD case CD release I have that I don't mind (just because the material is that good and unavailable elsewhere) is the Flaskavsae/Dark Procession split.

I also dislike them because they don't fit on my cd shelves. And because of that i rarely play them....

Iv got 10 releases in DVD cases. I dig that the artwork is bigger than jewel case size and and can wrap around as one artwork,front and back. Also that there is potential for a large sized chunky booklet to tuck inside the front and is easy to take out and read without any need of specialist long finger nailed booklet prying or magnifying glass.
None of my collection have that kind of booklet, just a single panel if that, but much potential is there and would rule i reckon.... lyrics and additional artwork in extended layout , or mini Comic book format with lyrics, or atmospheric photo album etc the potential is so awesome.

Elgibbor's Jubileum 1&2 was packaged in a Blu-ray case and it really bothers me a lot.

It bothered me too, but i have new cd shelves and the blu ray packaged fit on my new shelves... So i don't bother anymore abour the blu rays.

Century Media did some of these, i.e. the Dark Angel "black" editions. I bought Darkness Descends in this format and while its cool to finally have the album I hate this oversized digipack DVD like case...the booklet is always falling out and it gets tattered easily.

I don't have any now, but I used to. It irritated me because CD's go in CD cases and DVD's go in DVD cases... but that could just be my OCD thing...
