Mexico Trip

Hey all,

So I'm leaving in a few hours to head on down to Mexico with some folks from my church on a missions trip. We're going to be primarily just hanging out with, encouraging, teaching, and playing games with some kids at an orphanage. The kids have all been placed there by the Mexican Social Services, be that the parents were neglectful, unable to support them, etc. If you would, I'd certainly appreciate prayer for our team (of six), specifically that we'd have open/soft/aware hearts to where the Holy Spirit leads us; be flexible and selfless; effectively reflect God's character and love; be the best ambassadors of Christ possible; and also for safety. My hope is that we can be positive influences on these kids' walks with God, encourage them, and also that we'd experience God in a new way and that this would be a growing and powerful experience for us too - providing us with a greater understanding of God's character. I'll be sure to tell y'all how it went when I return (late Monday night). Thanks everyone!

Thank you for the prayers friends! Got back late last night from an absolutely wonderful trip. Nobody got sick, hurt, kidnapped by druglords, or anything of the like. Smile

The kids were fantastic and so much fun. We were able to just love on them and encourage them, and in turn be encouraged and filled with joy ourselves. Thanks again!
