Coroner New Album News

Tough interview to follow but they have 8 songs recorded or mostly recorded. Sounds like it will have elements of Grin, No More Color and Mental Vortex. Good news if you ask me.

Hopefully not too much of the Grin sound, my least favorite by them. Will be interesting to hear them after 30 years.

I’ve been a fan since 1991. Mental Vortex is one of my favorite albums. 

The new album is long overdue! They’ve been reunited since about 2010 and were originally set to release something in 2017. It’s been a slow process. 

Too bad Marky isn’t with the band anymore.

Mental Vortex was a masterpiece.  I did not care for Grin.   With all the new sterile production sounds in metal (especially thrash), I'm not sure if this will just be more of the same-old, same-old, but I'm willing to check it out since it is Coroner.

The first 2 albums are really good, but No More Color, Mental Vortex and Grin are amazing. 

Unlike some here, I actually like Grin quite a bit. 

They don't have a bad album IMO.

I like Grin quite a bit!

Serpent Moves has an amazing solo. Tommy is in the same league as Alex Skolnick and Joe Satriani. 

I love all their albums. But Mental Vortex is my favorite! With that said… I don’t mind the Beatles cover, but I wish they used another original song instead.

Another thing I like about Coroner is that they have never released an album with profanity (hopefully that doesn’t change). The lyrics have dark subject matter, but no unnecessary cursing.

I do like Grin also. I think it is their best vocal performance!
