What is Sonasterio? A studio or production team? I saw they did an ep with Angra and now they are working with Allos.

TBH, the major part of Cycles of Pain album was recorded at Sonasterio

When I first saw that ep I thought it was a different band based on the cover and logo. I love Cycles of Pain.

If you like the first release this builds on that to make a near perfect record (yes first listen in but). Base layer of Power Metal and layer in keyboards and Orchestral moments it makes for an AMAZING record. I purposefully skipped listening to all the singles to be surprised by the album release and Im glad I did.

This was worth the wait between albums!

Allos: pushing the boundaries of Prog and Power Metal with their new album, “Strong Delusion”



“Strong Delusion”, the new album by Allos, promises to win over fans of the genre around the world by challenging the limits of Metal. Originally from Belo Horizonte/Brazil, the band Allos stands out for its ability to fuse the speed and harmony of Power Metal with the sophisticated technique of Prog Metal, in addition to masterfully incorporating aggressive and symphonic elements.

“Strong Delusion” began to be composed in 2017 and was one of the first productions made at the Sonastério studio in 2019 and even with delays resulting from the pandemic period among other factors, this is a modern work that not only pays homage to the roots of Power Metal, but also redefines its contours with a heavy and innovative approach. The tracks transport the listener through a musical universe where speed, melody and sonic aggressiveness coexist in perfect symphony along with a theatrical performance.

The album offers an immersive listening experience, starting with the epic “The Pilgrim's Progress” that segues into “Follow Me”, a classic Power Metal track featuring Christian Liljegren (Narnia). Among the singles “All your Days”, “TeleVisione of Reality” and “Letter from Heaven”, other highlights include the tracks “Suffering and Evil”, “Inferno”, “InHuman Mind”, and “Millennium Kingdom”, a track that features the powerful voice of the legendary Rob Rock (Impellitteri) . The title track joins “System Collapse” in an immersive conceptual duo that defies the standards of the style. The album ends in the same way it begins, with the equally epic “For the Centuries”.


Recorded at the renowned Sonastério studio and produced by the band together with innovative producer Bruno Barros in Brazil, and perfected by the international expertise of Viktor Stenquist and Thomas “Plec” Johansson, “Strong Delusion” displays a standard of production excellence that ensures that each element reaches the listener with the clarity and impact that a work of this style deserves.
