Interesting. I hope Peter's journey ultimately brings him back to a clearer view of God as he presents himself in his Word. He's still searching. The lyrics sound like musical therapy. An interesting track, not too far off something I'd listen to.

We are all on a journey. That is a good thing that he is searching and questioning. God is patient with us all.Frozen Fire wrote:Interesting. “Searching and questioning” can go two ways: it can lead someone closer to the truth, or further away from it. Unfortunately, in Peter’s case it seems to be the latter. Based on an older thread, he seems to have left Christianity behind in favor of some vaguely Christian-flavored New Age philosophy

We are all on a different path. So there is nothing unfortunate about his walk. None of us walk a straight path in our journey. Also, there seem to be a lot of assumptions in your post. Do you have any recent quotes or interviews with Peter and his beliefs? At the end of the day have faith that God will lead Peter where he needs to be.seth wrote:“Searching and questioning” can go two ways: it can lead someone closer to the truth, or further away from it. I based what I said on this thread: https://thecmr.forumotion.com/t14440-peter-from-extol-s-religious-views?highlight=peter#268672Guitar Noir wrote:We are all on a different path. It is absolutely unfortunate if someone’s walk leads them to embrace lies rather than truth

A ton of speculation in that thread. Where are the direct quotes from Peter. Very dangerous repeating someone's speculation about someone else's faith. You keep making assumptions about another man's personal journey. It is far from over. It is unfortunate if we as judge others based on speculation and limited information. That is borderline gossip.seth wrote:I based what I said on this thread: https://thecmr.forumotion.com/t14440-peter-from-extol-s-religious-views?highlight=peter#268672Guitar Noir wrote:We are all on a different path. I'll be honest, I was not a fan of peters lyrics on the hrada album or the new extol songs. While still not what something I'd say is super great, the lyrics to this song seem to be heading in more a good direction then the hrada stuff. But I also could be mis interpreting the lyrics and what he is saying. So idk. At least the way I take it, this song is closer to older lyrics of extol(which is my fav thing to listen to) then anything he's made in awhile. But I could be wrong.
Decent song.
Decent song.

I'm not sure why you are saying it is speculation. You started the thread prior to it that inspired the one Seth linked. In that thread I cited Peter's own interview and encouraged others to listen to his own words. Peter was not vague about his beliefs but honest and open about his turn. Hearing him say it himself is neither speculation or gossip.
Prior thread about Hrada
Peter's Interview with HM Magazine
On my end, as you can see in all these threads, I'm trying to be gracious. I hope and pray Peter has or is returning to a deeper understanding of the truth of God in Scripture. It has now been 3 years. Much can change, for good/bad, better or worse. I definitely want to let Peter speak for himself but based on what he has spoken from his own lips I am cautious.
