Sunbomb - New Album 2024 (Michael Sweet/Tracii Guns)

Sunbomb is releasing a new album called "Light Up The Sky" on June 28, 2024.

The lyrics to the 1st song seem quite Christian while the 2nd song I would call more "Christian-friendly."

Michael Sweet does all the vocals.

Looking forward to it!

I enjoyed the first one.

I like the Sabbath / Kyuss vibe of the 2nd song.

The first album had a very gritty and heavy feel. Michael really went for it!

Now that Michael is getting older and his high pitch abilities will eventually fade… I actually like the bluesy lower pitch wailing. Some occasional screams are cool though, to add some color and break monotony. 

I hope they keep this project going for a while. It’s a lot better than the Sweet/Lynch pairing (in my opinion).

I liked the Soledriver project better than Sweet / Lynch too.   There's just something lacking in the Sweet / Lynch song-writing, it just doesn't grab me....

Sunbomb does nothing for me. I can’t really articulate why, but I just don’t care for it at all.
