Motivik - Renouncement

This is well written…stellar riffs and solos, but the lyrics on all the songs are where this album shines…thinking man lyrics that cut to the heart. And I love the nod to Betrayal with the cover of their title song "Renouncement.” A worthy rendition done Motivik style and very cool to have Chris Ackerman sing on it. Right now my favorite song is This Man I Am…the whole song is fantastic but the bridge is next level.
Great album and no skip tracks…a worthy contender for AOTY in 2024.

We are a Symphonic Metal Band from Berlin, Germany. Current project: A concept album of the Book of Revelation, a prophetic, dark future, apocalyptic book from the Bible. Events of the Book of Revelation have been arranged in chronological order and set to music. What a great union – hardest, heaviest Metal forged by the fire of Sanity combined with incredibly sinister, apocalyptic lyrics directly from Scripture! God is going to utterly destroy this world and Sanity gives you a glimpse of that destruction through their music. But there is also hope to be saved from that destruction and one will find the beauty of that hope in our music, too. What an exciting project!

Mine too. One of their best I think. It was released on the Longbox version of Weapons of Our Warfare from Retroactive Records. Smile

Yeah, that was where I heard it. Unfortunately that version's not on Spotify so I can't add it to any of my playlists. But at least I get to hear it at all lol.
