I hear ya and somewhat agree.  I definitely prefer their metal material, though their rock stuff is just very well done for what it is and when in the mood for that style, it definitely scratches that itch for me.

Right on, maybe it'll click with you this time!  I've had that happen may times over the years where I just don't particularly enjoy an album but then one time it just clicks.
