^^Yikes. $36 a CD? Gonna pass on those. Hoping digital versions are available soon.

No. That's from Melodic Passion. To my knowledge it wasn't going to be available from other distros. Someone let me know when you see them elsewhere.Temple of Blood wrote:Frozen Fire wrote:Unfortunately, as much as this would be an instant purchase for me in most cases, it is $36 a CD. Yeah, the stuff that Christian sells more or less directly is always crazy expensive. I remember searching for quite a while before I found a normal deal on the Waymaker debut album.

What about Amazon?

I was only able to sink my teeth into Fall Babylon Fall, the other ones just kinda slide off the ears. I get parts of FBF in my head for days without even listening to it. I usually get songs from it going through my head after reading certain parts of Revelation or the Wisdom Calls part of Proverbs.Constantine wrote:I like the debut album the best.

Wow, I would assume a sale is a sale and digital album buyers and would not affect the physical album sales. But I am definately not a music industry insider so maybe there is a reason for that strategy.Ammocas wrote:MP Records probably wants to recoup their investment in the physical product first before making them available digitally.

I’m not a music industry insider lol. I’m just going on what I thought I might have heard or read somewhere that C. Liljegren wanted to make sure he sold the physical cd and vinyl because it was a big expense for him and his small label. It was a labor of love. I don’t blame an artist for trying to recoup money used for investing in physical media so fans of a band can get a copy if they wanted it. I’m sure down the road that digital remasters will be available so people who want downloads only can get them.

I got you, that was just the internet version of me thinking aloud right there.Ammocas wrote:I’m not a music industry insider lol. I think there's definitely a reason for it. Physical product can't be pressed (affordably) by onesy-twosies. You have to press a large number and until they get close to sell it out you have pressed it at a loss. They want to nudge people who are uber-fans to get the physical product to cover their costs, at least in the short term.
