Veni Domine Rerelases are coming!
(translated from swedish - OG post made by Christian Liljegren in his own FB profile)
Know that many love and long for these Swedish hard rock classics with Veni Domine and these will come in a limited edition on LP in both black and white numbered vinyl
A project I worked on for several years to realize.
300 copies of each version in a nice gatefold edition numbered with liner notes etc. My good friend Janne Stark is very helpful in producing this and what fantastic covers by Rodney Matthews (Magnum, Asia, Uriah Heep, Eloy, Thin Lizzy etc.)
Fall Babylon Fall was released in 1992 and Material Sanctuary in 1994.
Planned release is August/September
Also limited CD edition with bonus material and that the discs will finally be available digitally
If this is to be possible, pre-orders are needed for these jewels as it is a big process to get everything with all the rights etc. but now we are close.
SEK 499/LP + rek package postage
SEK 199/CD + registered package postage
Those of you who are interested in ordering LPs and CDs send me Mail or PM for pre-orders and please spread the information
order@melodicpassion.com
I hope this makes many hard rock hearts happy

I'd love to get those, hopefully someone from the states distributes them, otherwise it's too expensive.

This. I still don’t own these due to cost and difficulty of acquisition.Black Rider wrote:I'd love to get those, hopefully someone from the states distributes them, otherwise it's too expensive.

Hopefully the "available digitally" comment is reasonably priced .
I wonder if it will be on itunes , amazon etc or through his label.

I have all their material but a number of them could use remastering. If these are remastered I'd been interested. That said, I have skipped most of Christian's albums in the past few years because expense of his releases (Flames of Fire, Waymaker, Melodic Passion, etc.).

Remastered by CJ Grimmark
And where are you from? Because If from USA, Roxx Records have some of these titles in their stock

I like the debut album the best.

Veni Domine re-issues
I'm excited about these. I'll most likely order "Fall Babylon Fall" for sure

These are expensive plus shipping from Europe is crazy. Maybe a USA distributor like Roxx will get some in.

I’m interested in the Fall Babylon album.
It’s very “Rage for Order” Queensryche-ish.

mmm kinda, but not really. You can hear the Queensryche influence in the singing and some riffs, particularly in that “Chronicle of the Seven Seals” has Suite Sister Mary vibes. But they’re a pretty unique spin on the Queensryche style. Fall Babylon Fall is heavier, doomier, and proggier than Rage for Order. I recommend Veni Domine’s first three albums, all fantastic. Fall Babylon has their most accessible songs, Material Sanctuary is the heaviest, and Spiritual Wasteland is the proggiest. All are proggier than Queensyche, but Veni Domine gets Fates Warning proggy on Spiritual Wasteland. Super intricate stuff.

Years ago after hearing Light, I thought about exploring this band further but I lost interest when their 'best' releases were all hard to come by. Time to check them out again.

I think you can buy their first three on Discogs for no more than $20 each. I know when I bought Fall Babylon Fall about 10 years ago it was relatively expensive, like $30 or something.

Tounges and 23:59 are the pricey ones usually. I did the discogs route as well.Friday13th wrote:Andreas89 wrote:Years ago after hearing Light, I thought about exploring this band further but I lost interest when their 'best' releases were all hard to come by. Time to check them out again.

Actually you might be right, I didn't remember too well. I think I was more interested in 23:59 because I heard (and loved) Valley of the Vision on youtube.Friday13th wrote:Andreas89 wrote:Years ago after hearing Light, I thought about exploring this band further but I lost interest when their 'best' releases were all hard to come by. That’s the best one after the 90’s imo.
