Strixskog (black metal / dungeon-synth / symphonic / etc.)
I've had Strixskog's albums in my wantlist for a while on Bandcamp but for whatever reason I haven't dived deep into the band yet. However, they recently gave out a bunch of free codes for their latest EP and it's really stellar! What do y'all know about this band? (I'm not 100% certain they're a Christian band but I think they are?)

I’m thinking it’s Show No Mercy this time.

I prefer Mxyzptlk.
If you play their album backward, it disappears and you have to order a new one.

One of the ex-members claimed that he was hugely influenced and mentored by Evroklidon's frontman, which was surprising. He also said that Strixskog's music reflected Christian themes, culture, and Biblical references.

Hello all, This is Ærendraca, the founder and guitarist/bassist of Strixskog. I came across this forum and wanted to let everyone know we released a new EP, Slaughtered, which is now available on our Bandcamp (We have free redeem codes) and will go live on all streaming platforms soon. I will try my best to answer any questions you may have about our project. Thank you all for your interest.

Digging it. Really cool project. I like the artwork a lot too. Thanks for putting the artist's name on the recent ones. Who did the art for Strixskog and Land of Cursed Spells?

Re: Strixskog (black metal / dungeon-synth / symphonic / etc.)
Thank you very much! The person who did the art work for S/T and LOCS was Angr who runs Black Casket Records. Regarding the name Strixskog, it is derived from two words: "Strix" (which in mythology was a bird of bad omen which fed on flesh and blood but also it is a genus of Owls) and "Skog" (which is Swedish/Norwegian for "forest.") The reason I picked this was because of my love and fascination of Owls and I also wanted something that sounded black metal as it was the music I set out to create.strangerhoncho wrote:Digging it.
