Treasure Seeker - Tribute To The Past
Not sure why I didn't know about this, but Treasure Seeker is being re-released. It's an incredible covers album, which is probably my favourite by any 'band'. I've got a copy of the 1998 original so I won't be getting one, but anyone who hasn't got a copy should go and get one when it arrives.

I used to have a copy. It's pretty good. It came out at a bad time for traditional metal, and distribution in the U.S. was not great. It seems a good idea to re-release it now.

Tell me about it. Just a barren wasteland of a desert. And you were eternally if you listened to something that wasn't punk or alternative related.Constantine wrote:It came out at a bad time for traditional metal
However, it forced to explore other forms of heavy music, for better or for worse...

Re: Treasure Seeker - Tribute To The Past
I remember those days well. They were sort of scary in the sense that it seemed like heavy metal would stay in the doldrums forever, banished to the basement of popular music. It has still never come close to reaching the heights of popularity that it had in the 80's, but it seems to be thriving now in it's own niche way. Although there are way too many similar bands now, but that's another story for another day....Superjuice wrote:Tell me about it. Just a barren wasteland of a desert. Yes and about exploring other heavy music, a lot of it was crap but some of it was rather interesting actually. Just...different.
