Funny you mention the Caligula's Horse album...I was waiting for that to be offered but then I was reading the interview on the LOM site and I saw that Frederick said he was going to be reviewing the album.  I thought, oh well, he has good taste and he probably knows the band much better than I do.  It is probably a really good album and I'm looking forward to hearing it when it drops on streaming sites.

KK, let me say thanks again for this opportunity. It’s been such a neat way to not only discover new music, but also to give it proper listens. I’m surprised more guys here aren’t taking advantage of this.

I'm surprised too...especially when there have been some Christian albums and even one with Dale Thompson....

What would you say was your #1 best new discovery so far?  For me it has been The Pineapple Thief.

Probably Mega Colossus. I think the new Saxon is a touch above it, but I was already a big Saxon fan.

I heard a few songs from the Mega Colossus and it is really good.

I check out sound samples from all bands from these lists that seem like the might interest me.
Provided that the band or their label put something out there on You Tube or Spotify or Bandcamp.

I've only done three so far, but Thy Shining Curse was a very nice surprise

I haven’t heard anything I thought was bad. I’ve reviewed one or two that I’ve pretty much shelved afterwards, but that’s due to preference rather than quality.

Sound samples or albums you chose?   I've gone through songs from dozens of bands now and I could tell that if I had chosen those albums I would not have much good to say about them so I passed.   There were 4-5 that I liked outside of ones I chose to review, but due to time constraints and/or their images & lyrics, I passed on them.  No one else picked them either.

As far as ones I chose to review, all have been very good to excellent.  But as I mentioned, I do homework beforehand to see if I will actually like the bands.

Albums. I choose stuff I think I have a good chance of liking.

Big thanks to all of you for jumping in and giving us a hand! I've checked out all your reviews, and seriously, I'm blown away by how awesome they are. I was chatting with the LOM team last week, and they're stoked about your contributions too.

I'm kinda surprised more folks haven't hopped on the chance to check out some fresh tunes before release date in exchange for a review. No pressure though—it's all good. The only time we nudged someone was for Inshan's review. The rest is totally up to you and your vibes.

I just wanted to express a bit of disappointment that this    promo above didn't come through earlier. I was actually listening to it today and was quite impressed with the quality. Although the lyrics are in Spanish, they've kindly provided English translations as well. The band hails from Mexico, and they're Christian, which adds an extra layer of significance. It's always great to showcase diverse talent, especially when it's rooted in faith.
