Inner Eye: active names of the Brazilian scene come together in a new and promising band
Officially founded on the first day of December in 2022, the band Inner Eye has its foundations set in a solid partnership, which dates back years, between musicians Raul Portugal (voice/guitar) and guitarist Julian Barg (Dawn Turbo, Carbono Project).
Having already collaborated together on other occasions, it was not difficult to align thoughts and actions for a new musical partnership and in this thought that Inner Eye appears, a band that bets on the sound of Heavy Metal, Heavy Rock and Hard Rock, but with the feeling of XXI century. The addition of musicians Marcio Weil (bass/backing vocals) and Matheus Turner (drums) completed the necessary chemistry to make Inner Eye a complete entity.
According to Julian Barg “As soon as we started working together we realized that the result - regardless of whether I was the producer - was a product of a partnership on all levels, and that musically none of us alone would create these songs the way they turned out. That was a natural transition into creating a band. No matter who the initial idea for a song comes from, the other contributes in ways that make Inner Eye sound like its own personality."
And even though it's a recent formation, Inner Eye has already put the cards on the table with the release of their first material, the EP ‘Visualize’.
Composed by Raul Portugal and Julian Barg and recorded at Calcinatio and Sonoriq Lab studios (Curitiba/Brazil), with production, mixing and mastering by Julian Barg at Sonoriq Lab, ‘Visualize’ offers listeners 4 tracks that bring the feeling of passing messages positive things ahead, but not necessarily always with a “nice” tone, after all heavy metal is not that, but uniting the weight and sometimes even being harsh in words but without losing the focus of positivity.
In the words of Raul Portugal “we were able to unite the fundamental parts in music, creativity, technique, feeling and, above all, integration and harmony from the composition process to the completion of the work”.
In addition to the preparation to debut on stage soon and to continue the promotion of ‘Visualize’, Inner Eye has already released the clip for the song ‘The Other Side’ and has 3 other video clips and a second EP in the production process, demonstrating that for these people, being stagnant is not an option.
