^I used to really like this band but they lost me with their third album's lyrics which IIRC had a lot of "I'm my own god" and whatnot. They've got a unique sound though.

EDIT: listening to that song took me down memory lane. I listened to that album a ton my first year in college.

This is their only album I've ever owned. It was released in 2004. I had just gotten into Metal as a teenager the year before. I learned about it on the Ultimate Metal forums (where I still post!) which had close connections with The End Records (label which released the album). It's a beautiful, sophisticated album and the lyrics on it are fine to me.

I think the album with the lyrics you're talking about looks to be the first one. It appears to be a concept album but I haven't spent much time looking into it.
