Favorite and least favorite Believer song from each album
I’m only doing the first 3. It’s hard because these are consistent albums.
Extraction from Mortality:
Favorite: Not Even One
Least favorite: Stress, easily
Sanity Obscure:
Favorite: Idols of Ignorance (my favorite Believer song)
Least favorite: I’ll go with Like a Song, because it doesn’t fit that well, but I still like it. (The U2 original is better, though).
Dimensions:
Favorite: Trilogy of Knowledge, Part I: The Lie or No Apology (guess they changed their minds on this, sadly…)
Least favorite: Not counting the Trilogy into, I’ll go with Gone, but I still like it.

Extraction
Favorite: Hard to say, but I guess Shadow of Death
Least: Desolation of Sodom is the only weak track here IMO
Sanity
Favorite: Idols of Ignorance for sure
Least: Dies Irae even more for sure
Dimensions
Favorite: Trilogy of Knowledge Movement III -- the riff at the start could go on forever and I'd never get tired of that sweet sound
Least: Honestly I haven't listened to any of the non orchestra stuff in maybe decades

I have two clear favorites on the first two:
- EfM: Shadows Of Death
- SO: Nonpoint
I like everything else on those.
As for Dimensions, it‘s a bit of a blur in my mind and didn‘t get near as many spins as the first two. I‘ll have to get back to it soon.

These are tough.
Can tell you the least anyway on the first two
Extractrations: Stress
Sanity: Like a song, for three reasons
1. The song sucks
2. It doesn't fit on the album and kills an otherwise perfect thrash epic.
3. I Hate, I mean, HATE, U2!
Like all of Dimensions.
Gabriel: That random filler stuff at the end.
Transhuman: can't remember. Good album.

Oh no... looks like I might've hurt a U2 fan's feelings....

I used to listen to the first 2 albums a lot in the 90s. Their guitar tones were always awesome. Loved that crunch!
Extraction From Mortality
Favorite: Shadow Of Death
Least: Stress
Sanity Obscure
Favorite: Idols Of Ignorance
Least: Like A Song
Dimensions
Favorite: Trilogy Of Knowledge (all parts)
Least: (not sure, haven't heard this one in quite a while)
I'm not too familiar with the more recent stuff.

I don’t get the hate for Stress and Like A Song. They are clearly « fun » tracks, that’s why they are at the end of the record and you can listen to the album and just stop at the end of the « serious » tracks if you must. I see them like those hidden tracks that were the fancy of the day, with the pure intention to showcase to the world that you were not a one dimensional act but capable of doing other styles of music and/or that you had some kind of humour despite playing hard music and touching serious topics for the rest of the album.
That aside, I really like those tracks. Stress was probably my first introduction into ska and reggae, genres I hadn’t even known they existed. Like A Song is beautiful and to this day I love it for this alone, never heard the original because I never cared for U2.

(just for the record) I don't hate Stress. Just if I had to choose one I like least... but it's a good tune. Love believer.

I don’t hate Like a Song at all. Hence, “Least Favorite,” not “Song I hate.”

Dust, I picked up a "dislike" on this too, and didn't mention Like a Song or U2, so I'm assuming that somebody wasn't paying attention and thought that it was a "super-like!" button or something.
I've always loved Stress, and could have easily taken it as my favorite from Extraction. Again, I could have taken any of about 6 as my favorite from so great an album, but it would be one of them. Maybe the first blast beats I ever heard? And I agree that it's just a fun song.

From now on when someone dislikes one of my posts, I'm going to go ahead and assume it's a "super-like!"Grindboy wrote:Dust, I picked up a "dislike" on this too, and didn't mention Like a Song or U2, so I'm assuming that somebody wasn't paying attention and thought that it was a "super-like!" button or something.

EfM:
I don't have the album, and don't remember if I listened before, lol
S.O.:
Favorite - Dies Irae
Least - Stop The Madness
p.s.: I LOVE Like a Song
Dimensions:
I have the album but don't listened him so much. Now I'm in a process to listen all my cd collection (and I'm in lettar A yet), so as soon as possible I'll be back here lol

Well... that's a dang shame... nothing pleases me more than getting under the skin of a U2 fan...Grindboy wrote:Dust, I picked up a "dislike" on this too, and didn't mention Like a Song or U2, so I'm assuming that somebody wasn't paying attention and thought that it was a "super-like!" button or something.

Stress is cool though, kinda like a thrash version of The Clash
