Narnia's ninth studio album was just announced. Time to get excited! Here's album info:

https://narniatheband.com/

Don't click the "preorder" on the info page unless you want to preorder digital downloads. Click the following link for the CD's. The Ghost Town and Soli Deo Gloria bundle is a great buy (I preordered it already)!

It did look like a good deal...until I calculated the shipping to the U.S. and it came out to $15.55 for 2 CD's.
The bundle then comes out to $35 total which is average for these 2 CD's and no longer a bargain.  pale

I don't have this dilemma cuz I just buy downloads.

However, I do honestly feel bad for you who have made it your policy to always buy hard copies; when I buy guitar pedals I never buy knockoffs (my own moral code) so it does cost me more money.

This is off-topic and probably better left for a PM but the whole issue of guitar pedals really frustrates me.
When I started out they were all $30-$70.  Now a decent boutique pedal can run anywhere from $150 to over $400.
And new ones come out every week that are like variations on what came before - some better, some worse.
That is a lot of money to spend on something that may not have much resale value if you find something better or if the pedal just doesn't work out for the tones you're after.  I only have a few $100+ pedals but most of mine are cheapies from China.

While I am primarily a bassist, I do dabble in guitar for writing and playing.  I don't consider myself a lead player at all.

With that said, I have gotten to the point that I quit using a standard amp and foot pedals.  I just plug in the Spark amp, pull up a sim of a guitarist I love, take off the effects they use that I don't like/need, and I am done.  I get a great tone every time and don't have to buy pedals.  I did get the Spark footswitch for Christmas to go with it so I can save my favorite sounds to it and change quickly between my Jake E. Lee sim, my Nita Strauss sim, my Bruce Kullick sim, and a clean sound that I like.  If I were to play live, I would probably use the Spark and run it into the PA using it for only a personal stage monitor of my own sound.

^I have considered the Spark in the past but I generally have shied away from amps that require an app and a lot of menu-driven searching and tweaking.  But....you do make it sound appealing so maybe one of these days I will reconsider.
I do hear a lot of complaints though that Spark support is terrible at best, that was another turn-off for me.

I would love some new Narnia this year!  I think I will preorder this and forget about it until it shows up in the mailbox in March.  That will be a nice surprise!

It looks as though Christian wants to be back in competition with Dale Thompson and Michael Sweet for most number of projects in the Christian metal scene.  He is also planning new releases with The Waymaker and Flames Of Fire this year.  That will be THREE new projects in 2023.

I got this from his Facebook page:
