Favorite Song on Vanishing Lessons

Seeing this album is being discussed right now, what's your favourite song from this album?

Polls can only have 10 choices, so I left My Promise off, as I'm fairly sure that it won't be chosen. 

I'm a fan of nearly the whole album, but I'm going with Pecking Order.

My pick is Acidhead but some of the others are great too. I honestly love the sound of the good tracks on this album and wish that we had gotten more Tourniquet with that sound.

If I could pick 2 Acidhead would be the 2nd. All my kids would choose Acidhead.

The whole album is very good but Acidhead is my favorite.

Acidhead, but Bearing Gruesome Cargo and the title track are right behind it.

The water is fast but it ain't deep.....

Sola Christus.

I love the way the vocals blend with the guitar and bass harmonies. Especially on the verses. Great somber atmosphere.

Sola Christus. 

It’s heavy and I like the vocal melody.

I voted vanishing lessons, but I understand the argument for many of them.

What rubs me the wrong way is that it should be Solus Christus. Sola is the feminine form. Yes I learned latin at school and this is one of the few times I can use it to show off.

Great memories listening to this album and playing Doom II on the PC back in the day! It was the perfect soundtrack.

I would have said Acidhead back in the day. Drowning Machine sticks with me the best though, something about the guitar solo as well (which usually don't stand out to me).

I would've left K517 out because it's not a composition of its own but a song that has been around for centuries, drums being the only new thing in it whereas My Promise is an actual song made for this album. It's also one of the heaviest tracks of the album even though it's a ballad at the same time.

It's a four star song for me. I like the version on Carry the Wounded better though.



Hard to pick my favorite song.
Pecking Order, Vanishing Lessons, Pushin' Broom and Sola Christus are the best tracks. Each of them a five star song or very close to it.

My least favorite song is Twilight.
