Regarding the subject matter behind the record, Turner explained, “Belly of the beast is a phrase we’ve heard over and over again in history. You can trace the cults and corruption all over the world back to prophecies in the Bible. It feels like it’s coming to fruition these days. When you look at the book of Revelation, there it is. I’ve always dipped into esoteric knowledge, Hermeticism, Occultism, Bible research, Eclectic philosophy. I’ve been fascinated with discovery of hidden mysteries. We are in a true spiritual war right now. It’s Good versus Evil. We’ve all got an Angel on one shoulder and a Devil on the other. We’re in the belly of the beast, trapped in the System, and there’s no way out of it. The album addresses this.”

I'm a fan of JLT's vocals, but certainly not all his projects (loved his Rainbow albums and even his work with Sunstorm, but his solo albums can be hit or miss).
At first listen I would agree this is likely one of his heaviest solo efforts.
I'm not horribly excited about this tune though, but I would like to hear more.

Great stuff! Great subject matter. I especially love the melody of the chorus. Oh and I actually like his new look as well!

I just learned of this. The music is a lot more heavy than his previous work. His new look is interesting…
The first thing that came to mind was Doug Bradley the actor that played “pinhead” from Hellraiser and Eric Clayton from Savior Machine.
