Re: Ted Kirkpatrick (R.I.P.)
I was sitting at the CD listening booth and (if I remember correctly) he pulled up a chair next to me and asked me what I was playing. I can’t remember what it was. LOL
He seemed like a very outgoing and comfortable person. I briefly talked to all the other guys too: Gary, Luke and Aaron. I think it was one of Aaron’s first public performances with them. Collected Works had just been released. They didn’t have a bass player at the time. Victor had just left the band.
I also attended the 1998 “Live in California” (Walker Hall show) in the city of Orange. And also the Norco, California show at a club called The Junkyard. It was billed as “TNT” Tourniquet, Neon Cross and Titanic.

Here's a few other Facebook posts of people who were part of Tourniquet / Ted Kirkpatrick legacy:
AARON GUERRA
Everybody knows his involvement in the band. Been there since 1994.
ANDY ROBBINS
Played bass on live shows during the final years of Tourniquet, from 2017 onwards.

Wow, that would be simply amazing!TZ75 wrote:Jimmy Brown has said he may do a Tourniquet cover as a tribute to Ted.
I wonder what song would be a good choice? Maybe something with an “emotional feel” like Broken Chromosomes or Exoskeletons.
I hope he gets more encourage to do that.
Maybe he could get Jim Chaffing and Victor Macias ou Manny Morales and do a trashy song such as Ark of Suffering or Dog's Breakfast...

What a great video and tribute. I learned some new things about Tourniquet and Bob from this video, and it's so great to see the glory and honor going back to Jesus!Airola wrote:And here's a video Bob Beeman did:

Maybe it was put on temporary hold for whatever reason… but now Ted is gone. Maybe Aaron knows if it will still be released. I’m very interested in getting it because my VHS copy is useless without a VHS player. Plus I was hoping for new bonus material.

A couple of posts. One sharing the news from TQT facebook page with 'I sure wish this wasn’t true" and one with this picture:
P.S.: He also said that some reissues from TQT are coming (maybe vinyl, I think)

The first person I thought of that could possibly finish the drum tracks if they weren't completed would be Lance Garvin from Living Sacrifice.
Lance is good, but I’d prefer Jayson Sherlock.

As I put pen to paper, I search for words and can’t find them. But reading through FB, you have done that for me by posting your memories and expressing what Ted meant to you, and again, I am amazed how he touched your life.
Yes, my heart is breaking but I am thankful that I can rely on God’s promise of healing and binding up this great wound.
I am beyond moved by your words of comfort and support.
For those of you who funded the Kickstarter, Ted asked me to let you know that all pledges would be returned. Please trust this will happen.
I leave you with this photo. Ted’s final bow.
Thank you, Cristy

If the Kickstarter pledges are returned, that indicates the album won’t be finished.
I’m disappointed we won’t hear Ted’s final songs. Assuming the album is already mapped out and written, why not have Ted’s favorite players finish it? Kind of like Warrel Dane’s final solo album after he passed.

Such a shame… he was one of the last “Top Tier” songwriters in Christian metal.
