Correct. Only their first demo "Celestial War" was Christian.
Their former bassist has released some songs for his new Christian metal band called Reckoned Dead that are very good. They are working on a full-length album.
I'm surprised that this band Wraithkiller is said to have former members of AoB considering that Metal-Archives says that WK is based out of Tampa, Florida and AoB was based out of Las Vegas.
I’m told the two former members are Eric and Shawn. They are currently using “stage” aliases. I suppose they relocated to Tampa. No one said they have to live in Las Vegas forever.
It could also be a typo.

Frozen Fire wrote:This is great! Sodom was a top 5 thrash band for me and Kreator was up there as well (especially Extreme Aggression/Coma of Souls). These guys are doing that sound well. Lot's of memorable riffs, great vocal delivery. I'm impressed.
Yeah, I definitely hear the Sodom and Kreator influence. Agent Orange and Coma of Souls were great albums!

Re: Wraithkiller Eternal Midnight - Thrash
Reckoned Dead is based in Tampa. Now it makes sense…
Shawn (the former AoB bassist) is doing both bands.

Who was speculating? I said it from the start. This was kinda fun. It only took y’all a few days to figure it all out. That doesn’t happen here very often (if ever). These boys have apparently snuck up on everyone, no doubt.

Re: Wraithkiller Eternal Midnight - Thrash
I would like to see some song lyrics.
If they are believers they should not have any issue with that.

Eternal Midnight
Eternal Midnight Lyrics (track 1)
Vs. 1:
Blackened is the night
Against the evil fight
All sorcerers will run in despair
We take the evil hold
Our city made of gold
O lucifer we infiltrate your lair
Vs. 2:
Attacking with might
Upon this evil night
My ravens feed on flesh of the dead
Unstoppable force
My power runs its course
And sanctifies the rivers running red
Chorus:
Our words defy
Prepare for coming dawn
We never die
Attack the demon spawn
Vs. 3:
Ripping and smashing and thrashing the beast
The time has come for he who won't bow
Taking back the night
Our weapons glow with light
Attack the magic casters cast them down
Prechorus:
We drink the blood prepare for coming dawn
We cannot die attack the demon spawn
Banish hordes of ravenous undead
Sanctified in rivers running red
Repeat chorus.
Outro:
Black the clouds that hold the thunder
Nothing hidden from my sight
O with blood and fire
Eternal midnight.

I was referring to ToB. He questioned it.

Wrong. Demo 2003 was as well.Temple of Blood wrote:TZ75 wrote:I was told that the Avenger of Blood demos were Christian metal, but the two full length albums were considered secular.
Correct. Only their first demo "Celestial War" was Christian.
The 1st album had Christian viewpoints in the stories
The 2nd album on, that was not the case.

I have finally gotten a chance to listen to this at volume and, I don't know if I'm missing something or what...WHY am I the only one that has bought this on bandcamp? It was released over nine months ago...
