Becoming the Archetype's Children of the Great Extinction was/is really really good, but there are so many recommendations here I gotta listen to in order to give a reasonable view. Guess it depends on what your favorite genres are. I'm listening to Preterist now and yeah - that's really good. Very good production values.

I haven't listened to many new albums this year, though I can't say the best, but I can say that I liked these ones:
1) Stryper new album(not released yet, but I bet it will be great, so I reserved this spot)
2) Deliverance - Camelot in smetherens (this was so above my expectations!!!)
3) Chaotic Resemblance - Nazarites
Still I wish to hear the new albums from these bands:
Time horizons ( love their progressive rock)
Saint - Heaven Fell
True Strength (I couldn't get into this band throughout their other album, however I am willing to give them another chance.)

Do All Things Fallen count as a Christian band? If so I give them a nod.

There’s been some great stuff this year and still more to come. I think the only album I was disappointed in was Gravedigger. And I don’t think that’s a reflection of the album’s quality, but rather my taste and expectations.

The new Union of Sinners and Saints didn’t really grab me, either, aside from a few tunes. But I had trouble getting into the debut, so I wasn’t expecting to be bowled over like I figured I’d be by The Brave.

Your lack of appreciation for The Brave's new album concerns me.

You’re welcome. I don’t post too often here, but I thought it had to be shared since no one else hadn’t. I have listened it now maybe 6 or 7 times and it really is well made album with plenty of hooks and good lyrics. Simon is great songwriter, vocalist, drummer and probably a lot more.
I don’t buy or listen a lot of (new) music these days, so to me Blood Moon Rising is an easy pick as the best for 2022 so far.

Not trying to hate but as a 90s HC kid it seems pretty obvious that they are borrowing heavily from the youth crew aesthetic: DanceFloor Justice is an absolute SxE classic from Project X and the Gorilla graphics are biting Gorilla Biscuits heavy. I understand these dudes play thrash but still…is this legit, thoughts?mothy wrote:Ill have to add the new mosh-pit justice to my list!

Musically, they’re very legit. Some of the best thrash in recent years.
