Steel Prophet fans?

Favorite albums? What do you think of Beware with D'Priest or The God Machine with Liapakis from Mystic Prophecy. Do we all agree that Dark Hallucinations is their best?

Huge Steel Prophet fan here!

Hard to pick a favorite. The trilogy of Messiah, Book Of The Dead and Unseen are favorites of mine for musical and sentimental reasons.

Beware was ok. Not one of their best though. D'Priest sounded like Brad Delp from Boston at times so that was pretty cool. 

I've only listened to The God Machine a couple of times and it's been a while. Need to revisit it I guess.

Cannot even begin to stomach their lyrics. Not a fan.

I will add that I didn't care for Omniscient at all. I think it's their weakest album by far.

It's got a lot of bloat but some good songs too.

I used to have Messiah and Dark Hallucinations but ended up purging them along with a bunch of other music I didn't listen to much anymore at the time (which I now somewhat regret...).  I know DH was always their most popular though I much preferred Messiah actually.

Some of their stuff looks like it has actually decent lyrics. Am I wrong?

They're all over the place lyrically. Blending all sorts of things together. Biblical, new-agey stuff, aliens, conspiracies, etc.

Maybe somewhat similar to Agent Steel's usual topics.

I really don't pay too much attention to their lyrics honestly. 

The first two songs I heard from them were "When Six Was Nine" and "Goddess Arise". I was instantly a fan.

Oh good grief! I just realized I was mixing this band up with Steel Panther. That’s the band whose lyrics I find abhorrent. I’m not familiar with Steel Prophet, but I will check them out!

That makes sense! Yeah, Steel Panther’s lyrics are vile.

Having checked out Dark Hallucinations, I am now a Steel Prophet fan.
