^^^ I'm re-discovering that I am not a fan of doom metal. I remember back in high school I threw my Veni Domine Fall Babylon Fall cassette in the garbage b/c I thought it sucked so much. Now I recognize it's because I do not prefer that style of music, it's not because VD were poor musicians are songwriters.

What about old Black Sabbath and Candlemass?  That's the best doom in the world and the only bands like that that I enjoy.

There are some Christian doom bands but not many relatively speaking. I think Veni Domine is okay but just not my cup of tea. I would consider them to be prog doom. I didn't care for them during the first few listens. I love traditional doom metal. I have found the best Christian doom comes from Malta.

This year has seen the release of two killer Christian doom albums: Omegashift and Trinity. And both are very different from each other.

I think it’s absolutely fantastic. I will warn you of two things:

The vocals are kind of odd, at least for this style. They’re solidly on key, but just brace yourself.

Also, the album has three ballads in a row in the middle. But they’re all good tunes.

If he'd stick with the lower register it'd be fine but his regular voice just doesn't fit.
