Forsaken: Dominaeon vs Nomad Son: The Eternal Return

Two of my recent DOOOOOOOOM purchases. Both great. But what’s your pick? 

I think I have to go with Forsaken, but it’s super close. Both rock my incredibly handsome face right off.

Either way, Albert Bell rules.

Nomad Son holds my attention better.

Nomad Son for this round.   It they were up against a different Forsaken album they might not have fared as well.

It's not a popular one here, but my favorite is "After The Fall."

Albert Bell does indeed rule!  Everything of his is excellent.     He's actually a member here but I haven't seen him for a while.

Anyways, Dominaeon wins for me.  As it happens, that's my favorite Forsaken album and The Eternal Return my third favorite Nomad Son album.  (I know, they only have three albums but to say "least favorite" just doesn't seem right since they're all quite good haha!)

Different strokes!  For me, had the poll been Forsaken - Anima Mundi vs Nomad Son - The Darkening, NS would've won.

That was my intro to Forsaken and it really is a killer album.  "Epic" doesn't even begin to describe it.

Love both, but voted Dominaeon

The Eternal Return 100%. Forsaken is ok but Nomad Son is on another level, primarily because of the vocalist

Nomad Son is great, but I vastly prefer the vocals on Dominaeon.

Both bands are excellent examples of the genre.  I regret not listening to them more.  I will check back in with a more refined opinion on these two albums, so I can vote.
