Stryper Vinyl
Does anybody know if there are any plans to rerelease the Stryper back catalogue on Vinyl. I know Motley Crue did it! I'd love to have the first 5 album's on coloured vinyl.

Re: Stryper Vinyl
Since they don't have rights to the older stuff, it probably won't happen. Too much money. That is why they recorded "Second Coming"

Who owns the rights? Is it Hollywood records?

Re: Stryper Vinyl
That's the problem with those big labels: They keep the rights but don't care enough about re-releases of smaller bands. Stryper re-releases on vinyl would definitely sell good - but maybe not good enough for such a big label. They rather release the tenth repress of a Queen album with redundant bonus live material instead of investing in lesser known artists.
A solution could be a license deal with a smaller label interested in rereleasing those albums. But often enough such big labels are too lazy to process such a license request or they only do it for ridiculously high fees without which they don't lift a finger. It must be a stupid feeling when you can't re-release (your own) music despite economic potential because someone is sitting idly on the rights and simply letting marketing opportunities pass.
Of course I don't really know if that's the case with the old Stryper albums. At least they re-released them on CD. But that's a very cheap investment...
