List some epic bands like Warlord or Manilla Road
Put this here so it would be seen. Looking for those doom tinged bands but not straight up doom, Christian would be great but obviously it doesn't have to be.

I know True Strength and feel the production holds them back. Enjoying that Covenant, good stuff but again the production is a little thin.

I used to sing for Cauldron Born btw.
That Faith Factor album is excellent. It doesn't get enough love.

On their earlier material, I would agree with that. With their most recent, though, they got everything dialed in. You should check it out.

It's better, I put it on my playlist but I wish they'd go for a deeper sound like Place of Skulls etc.

Re: List some epic bands like Warlord or Manilla Road
Early Manilla Road didn't exactly have stellar production.
I don't hear anything with True Strength's production these days. Their sound is nothing like Place of Skulls so I don't understand the comparison.
What about Apaugasma "Sisyphean Task"?

Do you know if Apaugasma is a "Christian" project?Temple of Blood wrote:Early Manilla Road didn't exactly have stellar production.

The main man Brian Day IIRC said on FB that it was.
Haven't scrutinized the lyrics personally.

ToB, I just meant I wish they'd beef things up a little is all, I probably should've referenced Tyrant instead of PoS. Your remark about Manilla Road is true and that's why I like the remasters.

I love me some Oracle!
Would Thunder Rider - Tales of Darkness & Light - Chapter II count as Epic Heavy metal? Not a "Christian band" but very biblical lyrics

You might also enjoy the last two Matthias Steele albums. I think they have some Christian lyrics but I'm not certain.
