I guess when your main idea of Christian music is the pop drivel you always hear on Christian radio, anything remotely rock-based counts as metal

It’s more of a popularity list. 

The Crucified, Betrayal and Sacrament didn’t even get acknowledged! 

Bad list. Comparable to the clueless Rolling Stone magazine nonsense.

I know NL and Ff are modern rock, FFaK is either modern rock or metalcore, I'm not sure

At least Theocracy, Tourniquet, and Deliverance are top 10 and Mortification is top 25.

Actually, I think I saw TC near the bottom.

Hear me out, any best of list without Torn Flesh is a joke.

They probably assumed it wouldn’t be fair to put them on the list, because they obviously transcend our pitiful categories of music.

I often think about our desire to make lists and rank our music from worst to best. It seems unimportant to me… I’d rather just enjoy the music for what it gives us and how it moves us.
Yet, this forum sometimes nudges me on to participate in ranking our music…haha!

I think because there's no unit we can use to measure how good art is, so the best way is to compare it to other art.

While I disagree with most rankings (especially "not all are metal" and "not all are Christian" issues), what it does do is stimulate thinking about WHY certain bands are better and on a list like this it might help find new bands (this one didn't, but it might help others).
