Wow, some of those are really good. The only ones I was familiar with were Have Mercy, Knightriot and Hotopsy.
I have a lot but here are a few for now:

Re: Little known Christian bands (at least by me)
Threads like this are one of the big reasons I like to come here.
I was already really into Holy Scepter, Have Mercy (to me they are not underground, they have been remastered/rereleased and have a lot of interviews on the net), and Rebellion. I also enjoy Hotopsy and would like to listen to them more.
The rest I had not heard of.
I have posted several bands here that I found that I enjoyed so I won't repeat them:
Weeping Prophet (Tourniquet-ish)
Catscan (Coroner/Testament-ish)
Debellum (Flotsam and Jetsam/Metal Church-ish)
Messiah
Cursed Earth
The Great Gamble
Legion (debatable, I know)
Menahem
Revelation Project
Inside Mankind
Sacredfice
You guys should ALL be listening to the above bands more!!!

....You mean you don't come here just for the company? HahaTemple of Blood wrote:Threads like this are one of the big reasons I like to come here.
Yes, Catscan, Menahem, Armed Ark, and Sacredfice are all great.
The rest, I have to look into more....

Bands like Menahem, Aeturnus and Towne Cryer seem pretty known but there's a few here to check out.

I know some of their stuff got re-release on A.R.T. Records but this release should get more attention:
I still have my backup of the CD which was stolen years ago but would buy a remaster in a heartbeat.

There's some good stuff here. It probably doesn't help that some of these bands hardly have any physical releases available if at all. I don't really pay any attention to a band if they don't have something on CD, vinyl, or cassette.

I used to be like that too, but I've since found too many amazing demos that are no longer available commercially.
In fact, some of my favorite releases ever are demos that you can't buy anywhere. Secular bands like Talisphere, Altered State, Brainicide, Masteriff, the first Spiral Architect demo, etc.
Re: Little known Christian bands (at least by me)
Returned are from Finland and put out an album called "Second Chance" in 2018.
They really flew under the radar. They have a FB page but everything is in Finnish.
Hard to describe them - blackened symphonic power metal? That's as good as anything I suppose.
If anyone here has any further info on them, I'd be curious. They have an interesting "sea pirate" kind of sound.
I have a few other obscure Finnish Christian bands to add here soon....

Thunder Child seems nearly unknown and they are awesome.

The Watchmen is another one that I think is just awesome and not well known.

Thunderchild is obscure but I learned about them here from someone who posted them.
Watchmen were great, it's a shame that the singer died a few years ago.

Has anyone remastered The Watchmen? They need it.

No...problem is, I think Greg Sweet owned the rights to the music. He died in 2015 and I don't know if anyone has tried to contact the family or the rest of the band to see if they're interested in reissuing the material.

Yeah, that sucks that he passed away. He had a really great attitude too. I saw videos where he'd gotten into abstract painting during the time where his illness was really affecting him. You just just tell that he was a good guy. Loved his voice, he sort of felt like a mixture between Billy Squier and Ronnie James Dio to me.Constantine wrote:Thunderchild is obscure but I learned about them here from someone who posted them.

Yeah, I take note when I come across a good demo and seek out the cassette. I just don't like to listen to digital files without owning the physical copy. It's kind of a challenge for me that if I want to listen to it, I need to track it down. In the meantime, I've got a TON of other stuff to research, buy, and enjoy.
