My $ says that we can order the CD on 2/12; while we can pre-order the vinyl for a late spring/early summer release.

I have to be honest, as much as I was looking forward to the release, now that Matt posted them on Facebook and I got a chance to listen to them, I am holding off.
Artistically, I can appreciate that they are done really well. They just don't resonate with me for some reason. I couldn't even finish them.
Of course, I always found it odd in the first place that I liked Celestial Messenger so much being that I never really liked Rush musically or vocally (and of course, Trytan on CM was like a Christian clone of them). I'll probably still pick up the CM gold disc, but for now I'll be passing on their new stuff I guess.
Still nice to see them back and I hope they have a lot of success with it.

I would have to say the same. Based on the recent hype and what Larry has been posting as rough mixes, I expected something different - heavier and more focused. Maybe the rest of the album will be different, we'll see. I'm certainly glad they are back though.Bought4Life wrote:Artistically, I can appreciate that they are done really well. Man, went and ordered just the Celestial Messenger remaster and shipping was $6.99. Crazy. I almost canceled the order. It should only cost $4-$5 bucks to mail a cd. Then they want you to also buy insurance at $3.99 to cover if the item gets damaged in shipping. Yeah, I don't think so...that's why I use PayPal.

Both Boone's Overstock and Girder have some super high shipping. If you want to see it skyrocket, wait until they have "a sale". They then jack up the shipping to cover what you supposedly are saving. The sale is a promotional thing that draws people in, but offsetting the cost of discounting their CDs by hiding it in their shipping is fishy to me.

Especially since I also just paid Boone's $7 in shipping for the BC and Xalt pre-orders 12 days ago.
$14 in shipping for 3 cds in 12 days.
I may be done

You think shipping is expensive in the US. I live in Canada and we have to tolerate the exchange rates and the higher shipping. Sometimes if I place a large order there is free shipping. I did that when I preordered the 3 REZ and 2 Bloodgood debut and detonation vinyls with some other items and got and I got free shipping.
I ordered the 3 Trytan albums from Boones. I was only aware of them a few years ago. The older stuff remind me of Rush, Triumph and Daniel Band and for song writing style and some of the guitar tone reminds me of Boston. The new title track reminds me a little of Dream Theater.

You think that's bad, here's the cost for me getting it to the UK...
$16.99 CD
$07.99 Insurance
$32.99 CHEAPEST shipping method.
$WAY TOO MUCH! That's why I use Nordic Mission or Soundmass (Soundmass goes via Australia!!!!!)

I experienced the same dilemma ordering from Eric Clayton. The s/h for the physical EC and the Nine CD would have dwarfed the disc price! Saviour Machine shirts were also exorbitantly taxed. Had to settle for the download.
