Re: Ministry's ANTIFA worshipping song/video
His explanation is a bit incoherent, but it seems to just come down to the standard rally cry of "yeah don't let them tell you what to do or think."
P.S. I fully expect most rock, pop, and metal musicians out there in the world to be Left rather than Right sympathizers. The irony is that they swallowed the lies and accept the slavery of one group while believing they are on the side of freedom, honesty, and justice. It reminds me of 2 Peter 2:19: "They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them."

Here's a great, insightful, witty article from a politically incorrect jew taking the p#ss outa Al and this song/album. And his other articles are pretty astute and witty too.

One would expect that, and in many cases its true. But ive found in recent years its more complicated and there are more red pilled, libertarian and/or right leaning, conservatarian, classical liberal/centrist types and those who despise the far right and far left about equally musicians....especially in metal than is portrayed. It's more mixed than we are ade to think. Though the rock and metal fandom world is even more of a mix than the rock and metal Industry is. Its just that those on the left often have their voices elevated more by the rock and metal press and the press in general(with a few exceptions).

Though to be fair to the ones that are on the left, I've noticed a great deal of them tend to be more libertarian left than far left/neomarxist/sjw/etc(though there are those, and they do get elevated more in/by the rock/metal press and press in general)

Metal is loaded with Independents with libertarians inclinations who sometimes vote right and other times left, and have nuanced views that are in some issues/contexts right and in others left or center. For example I just read an interview with Glen Benton where he said he voted for both Bushes and also for Obama.
Tom Araya is known to have conservatarian views(im not certain about him but his wife is a huge Trump supporter, and I think he leans Trump). Alice Cooper is republican, Blackie Lawless is im not sure but I think a conservatarian leaning right wi g independent, Dave Mustaine is an independent who usually votes or supports center righr or libertarian, Donald Tardy and Trevor Pere's of Obituary are both independent leaning Republicans and Donald had some positive things to say about Trump in a 2016 interview, Zetro from Exodus is a huge Trump supporter, I suspect Pat o brien of cannibal corpse is a right libertarian, Michael Graves of Misfits is a conservative and Trump supporter, Johnny Rotten is a Trumper, im pretty sure the guys from Forbidden lean righr or center libertarian and so much and so anti nwo their entire *omega wave* album was about it and had an anti Obama song *Hopenosis*, Phil Anselmo im pretty sure is a center right leaning independent libertarian,
Brett Hoffman(RIP) of Malevolent Creation im pretty sure was center right libertarian ,the drummer from System of a Down is a huge Trumper, Jon Schaffer of Iced Earth is a independent right leaning libertarian Trump fan, alot of BM guys lean right. List goes on....

Alice is more apolitical than anything else AFAIK. He's said that he goes out of his way to be non-political, and he never puts out any overt political messages in his music (the closest he comes is that when he tours during an election, he has zombie versions of the two candidates come out and wrestle during Elected, before Alice chases them off). I think Gene Simmons is a Republican though.

Yeah, Alice goes out of his way to be non-political in his music(or so he says, but you can find sociopolitical messages in some of his songs, he's just not overt about it much).
But personally in his life I mean

He hasn't lost the plot, while Dems and Rinos are acting like Nazis he's realized antifa is getting a pass.

"I think that some of the tactics they take actually hurt the cause or the thought process more than it helps, but I do enjoy the 'enough!' aspect of it – and that's what this song is about."
Out of context this could be a comment from the other political side on 1/6/2021.
Not everybody with an Antifa badge is a red fascist and due to the decentralized character of this movement it is easy to excuse everything that "hurts the cause" as "that's not what Antifa is about". But the spirit of a lot of those groups is dominated by extreme left anarchists who do not just fight actual fascists or racists but everything they label as fascist because it's opposed to their opinion or suppresses their "freedom" - a freedom that entitles them to shout down, threaten, terrorise and physically attack others.
These might not be the intentional core values of this movement and I met many people who identify as Antifa who are not full-on anarchists or simply hateful, violent criminals. But as long as this movement is not able to kick out the extremists and defines their violence as strictly defensive the "hurts the cause" aspect is way to dominant to write an anthem for this movement. Especially in such a stupid and unreflected way. Does he REALLY equate Skinheads with right fascists?
Politics aside this song, those lyrics, this video is utter garbage.

At their core, they are anarcho communist and they deem every kind of ownership as fascist so I wonder if Al would be willing to relinquish his wealth? I grew up in Portland and have been listening to these psychos for years, they're not new just really public now. You're right Tobi, a lot are just coopting the name and don't really know what antifa is.
