Re: GOOD albums, BAD production!
That's interesting about Tempest. If the Ohio band was signed, that would of changed Christian metal history. If the thrash band were signed instead and released their album in 1987 thay would of beat Vengeance as releasing the first thrash album.
Barren Cross - Rock for the King
Bloodgood - All Stand Together - production is too thin. Looking forward to the rerecord.
Impellitteri - Stand In Line - in reading interviews from Chris he didn't have much money to invest in the album.
Jerusalem - Can't Stop Us Know - the guitars were mixed low. If they were more up front it may of been a heavier album. Ulf is a great guitar player. On Jerusalem live performances their music is much heavier.
Stryper - In God We Trust - in some places over produced and polished. The version of Always There for You on the Whiskey live album is what the In God We Trust Album should of sounded like - heavy and raw.

It has been years since they announced this. Do you really think it will still happen? I have given up hope.
Re: GOOD albums, BAD production!
They did both. The 2004 edition is re-recorded and does sound good; in 2011 Retroactive reissued remastered digipaks of the first 3 albums. WotS, although the original recording, sounds radically different (Cliffy "de-reverbed" the drums). I bought all 3 together when they came out, but favored the album w/the reverb left in and gave away the Retroactive edition WotS. (I held onto the M8 version I already had.)Follower of Jesus wrote:They didn’t remaster Warriors, they re-recorded it, and it is MILES better than the original. It also has two more songs.

Tortured Conscience-Every Knee Shall Bow
I thought the original release on Bombworks suffered from a subpar mix. 2020 remix helps a lot, IMHO
