I was hoping it was a good thing. I was afraid that the word filter had kicked in and replaced the two t's with b's. I was going to be seriously disappointed.

Re: Halo
New release from Halo? That would be so cool.
Until then, I will keep listening to their self titled and their follow up 'Shibbity Bobbity Boo' aka 'Heaven Calling'

Re: Halo
I'm going to be ordering the 3 Halo albums and the Scott Springer album. That band had a good run - great AOR classic rock/hard rock. I sold my 2 Halo originals yesterday. For those who have it what is the booklet like? Lots of pics and write ups?

Re: Halo
Thanks for posting the pics Staybrite. I have noticed that many of the Girder reissues has that same yellow background for the write ups or lyrics.

Re: Halo
I think they try to give the booklets a magazine feel. For me, I find this format to be easier to read.

Re: Halo
Torrential Riff had an episode where he played a good portion of the album as an initial reaction review. I listened to the whole episode and was impressed by how close they achieved the Van Halen debut sound. It was crazy close, especially the guitar tone. It was more on the demo level however, but still listenable and rockin'. The lyrics were all Jesus music oriented. After the episode I had a bunch VH songs in my head ranging from I - Fair Warning. "Somebody Get Me a Doctor", "On Fire", and "Sinner's Swing" ironically. So even though it sounds like the debut, you'll get songs that resemble II and above.Constantine wrote:Still wish I could hear sound samples from "Life Goes On."

Re: Halo
I would say the recording has a really decent (almost high quality) demo feel....from the 80's. Sometimes it almost sounds like it was recorded live in the studio....but still very much a demo.
If that helps.

For those that have had the privilege to listen to Scott Springer's 'Hello Forever' album it is considered Halo III

I have the 2 Halo and Scott Springer CDs that I sold where I'm getting the 3 Halo remasters and Scott Springer. The 2 Halo and Scott Springer albums are for the most part are great albums. I think Scott Springer is a pastor now.
