The vocals sounded to "forced" for me in that. I know it may be in a raw state, but it sounded at times like the vocals were off in their timing.

Seems they mostly play in Europe in the past several years.
No one except Stephen Pearcy (RATT) will have that signature Scott Wenzel sound.
Curious if the below vid is the new singer???

Ratt came first. So Wenzel has the Stephen Pearcy sound.

OK, so I am a little confused... the first post on this they mentions that the vocalist is Peter Stenlund but now they're saying it's Dave Roberts... Now it does say "Guest Vocalist" so I'm not sure what's going on here...

I'm confused too....However this Dave Roberts does seem like a better fit than the previous guest vocalist though.

Wow! I hope this isn't the real Scott. If it is, then this could be bad for their friendship.

I looked into that and it seems that there are three Scott Wenzel accounts on Facebook. They all look a little suspicious to me. Interestingly I looked on the Whitecross page, and couldn't find anything, and checkd the FB link above and it wasn't available.

I saw in another interview some years ago where Rex stated that he and Scott "never got along that well", in his words.
Too bad, as they seem to have a great chemistry together.

I told you guys that this "2.0" had something about rights and so...
I don't want to take sides on this fight, I am just glad Whitecross will be doing new music.

Sounds also like it's a money thing since it costs money to record an album.
That's too bad for some Christians that believe Christians should be broke so they can be "closer to the Lord" when the Lord just wants us to be trust worthy with money and not backslide or treat people mean like if we get a little money
So, Rex is pointing out that he has to figure out how to pay for a new album and it doesn't appear anybody is helping him with that.
So, if the singer it's pitching in doing his part to help pay for new music being produced then Rex has a legitimate complaint.

Enough, nuff. enough is enough. No more white lies it's time to hang tough.
I must get those first four albums again. How I do miss them.

I would like to get the first four on Compact disc, if I can. I'm not quite ready to let go of the album yet; though I know its impending doom is here.Rockrz wrote:I got all of Whitecross' stuff and King James too!

It's pretty off-base to say that, as the fans of metal have proven year after year after year that they will put a lot of their money into buying releases, merch, etc. So many bands have pulled weird stunts like this one that turned out bad (at least in the opinions of many). Ever thought about how it might be stuff like this that drives fans away? It's not up to us fans to buy whatever any band puts out just because They still need to turn out quality material. Just dismissing it all as "criticism" won't help the bands know what their fans want at all.

I guess that's all.
These bands are either working on (or plan on working on) releasing a new album, or have recently released a new album, or are playing shows:
Bloodgood
Jerusalem
Saint
Trytan
X-Sinner (Greg Bishop un-retired)
Sacred Warrior
Worldview (basically Recon, right?)
Paradox (yes, they are putting out a new album)
Arsenal
Emerald
Stairway
Impellitteri / Rob Rock
Angelica
Rage of Angels (this may have fell apart)

I mean, in all fairness, that was like 30 years ago. 30 years ago Michael Sweet left Stryper, too...yet here we are with him back and putting out albums.
Anyway, the lead singer has been active on the ROA Facebook page, and in early 2019 was posting that several former members lived in close proximity and that he personally had started writing/recording new material for a return of ROA. He did not want to announce the projected lineup at that time.

But, didn't the other band members go to Steelheart back in the day?
I heard that somewhere and never heard if it was actually true or not.

Yes. Former ROA drummer John Fowler and guitarist Frank DiCostanzo were in Steelheart from 90 to 92. They played at their first two albums s/t and Tangled in Reins. The latter one is IMO excellent piece of melodic metal/hard rock.
Fowler died in 2008 or 2009.

I think thr Altar Boys and the Prayer Chain are also making music again
Sad if this is all true bout the Scott/Rex rift. Not surprised tbh but still sad. Whitecross had some good music back in the day, Saw them live three times and even met Scott Wenzel once. Wasnt a positive experience and I left it feeling like something was off.
