The Best of Black Sabbath?
Has anyone even heard of this compilation? I saw this on cd in a local used music/video-game store and snatched it up for $3. It looks like a greatest hits featuring only the Tony Martin era music. Thought it was kind of cool because I don't own any of the Tony Martin era stuff (kinda fell out of love with BS after the Mob Rules album). Listening now, and there is some good stuff here.

Have never seen that one. What label is it on? I don't have any Martin era stuff either. Same with me after Mob Rules I checked out until Dehumanizer.

My fave all time band has far more compilations (45) than actual studio releases (13)

I have it. It’s a decent but basic sampler of the Tony Martin era.

That's pretty much the only reason I picked it up (besides the price). I don't own any of the Tony Martin albums, and probably never will. So I'm glad to have this.

There was also The Sabbath Stones which also includes stuff from the Tony Martin era, as well as some tracks from Dehumanizer, Born Again, and Seventh Star. Surprised we havent had a compilation (or better yet, a box set) that compiles every era.

Problem w/this comp is that it contains nothing from the Eternal Idol lp, as that one was on a different label.

That stinks.
Born to Lose, The Shining, and others are Martin-era classics.
