Ken Tamplin is a Christian Rock Legend. IN THE WITNESS BOX was released in 1995 when the Seatlle grunge scene was in full swing. However make no mistake about it, this is a straight forward metal and hard rock album containing some of his hardest rockers. Songs like Feed Me, leave little guessing that this album is going to smack you right in the face. Guest guitarists guitarists include Joey Taffolla (Jag Panzer) and Lanny Cordola (ex-Giuffria/House of Lords). Lanny worked with Ken on Magdallan and is also credited with serveral of these songs as well.

Pretty good but not as good as his self-titled. "Some of his hardest rockers" is misleading. It's lighter than the self-titled and less commercial than Shout or his Intense Records solo albums. "Feed Me," "Death by Inches," are really good. His version of "Sing Hallelujah" is slow and heavy.

Definitely not his strongest album, but its solid, as are all of Ken's releases.

My least favorite of all his solo rock records. It’s not bad, just not that great. His self titled album had too many background vocals, and on this album, he took that to another level again. There’s far too little of him just singing. He has an amazing voice and it is almost completely lost on this album.

This album had moments, but it needed one or two more rockers to really make it shine. Also, the song "Alma Rose" would have been killer if rocked out instead of being played on a violin. I realize that with the subject that musically it fit. However, the song just doesn't work on here as the style is so different. They could have rocked it out and used some violin instead of keys. They could have electrified that violin and swapped licks with the guitar for the solo. Now THAT would have been cool.
