Am I missing something here in the timeline?

The Kickstarter started in May 2012
They let the backers see the movie in mid 2017
They started taking pre-orders for the physical discs in early 2017
They started distributing Kickstarter rewards at the end of 2018
They are saying the pre-orders will be filled in early 2019


Wow.......


Going on 7 years since KS, and 2 years since the pre-order rolled out, before a physical copy of it is available.


Is that a new record? 


I actually feel better now about not doing the Kickstarter (I had withdrawn my pledge b4 it ended because I got leery of it), and I feel pretty good about deciding not to do that pre-order in 2017.


Has anyone here pre-ordered or done the Kickstarter thing for this?

Yep I did, not that happy with it to be honest.  Feel betrayed.....

You are totally justified in feeling that way too. They have been ridiculous with their timelines.

When I went to do the pre-order last time, they tried to charge me sales tax....

I live in Delaware...I don't pay sales tax.

So either they have no idea how to setup their payment system, or they just chose to overcharge people like me. I sent them an email, no response. So I chose to say screw them and I never finalized the order.

May sound minor....but it's basically theft.

I preordered it to back in the day.  I am not super happy about the wait either.  I am at the point now, I will be surprised if we ever see it.

Not familiar with this band but kind of reminds me of the whole Vinnie Vincent box set debacle

It is a documentary about Bloodgood. Glad I didn't help fund, I would be pretty mad about sending money years ago without any product.

I had to Google that to see what you were referring to..

So apparently in 1996 (circa) Vinnie Vincent did per-orders for a cassette box set for $100 plus $20 shipping...

and as far as I can see on the internet, as of 2014 the box set has never been released and no refunds were ever given..just lots and lots of upset fans.

Did you do the VV pre-order, Livna?

I’ve never preordered anything or participated in crowdfunding because I just don’t trust it.  I heard about the VV debacle from a Kiss podcast I subscribe to called 3 Sides If The Coin.  Apparently the people who ordered it did eventually receive the box but there was no cassettes or cds in them.

Yeah and not to derail the thread but Vinnie is up to his old tricks again. After making several public appearances he promised a "comeback" show that was cancelled, rescheduled and cancelled again with no word about why it was cancelled. He also tried to trademark "Vinnie Vincent's Kiss" which got a lot of attention from Gene. There is a thread on Heart Of Metal here that wonders if he is now a she.

I'm glad you brought up the VV thing..that was interesting.

Also, in my reading about it, he sold a ton of guitars that he "said" were from when he recorded Lick It Up with KISS, but they noticed he sold more guitars than songs on the album..hahahaha

Maybe once or twice, but I do not remember what the updates said. It has been a while ago.
