Joshua Resurrection - Opinion
I was just thinking of this album which got no attention from the media, sadly.
After many years, I would say it is good, but not brillhant. I wish Rob Rock could have done the vocals on it. Mark Boals is a good singer, but he is no Rob Rock.
How do you see this album nowadays?

I like it ok especially the bluesy touches. It's a little generic at times though and I kind of tune it out.

I still like it a lot. I like Boals’ voice better than Rob Rock’s.

Re: Joshua Resurrection - Opinion
I think that Boals fits the music well. Maybe Rob Rock could of done it better, but I am satisfied with Boals' performance. I think the album is really strong and stands on its own.
Re: Joshua Resurrection - Opinion
I am one of those guys who thinks that Rob Rock makes every album better. Boals have made a good work, but not outstanding as Rob Rock would do. My second option wouls be Jeff Fenholt, who was originally scheduled for Resurrection. Sadly it didn't work out.

Not to mention that Rob Rock's name on it, could certainly attract more attention to this album. He has a small, but loyal fanbase.
And he has done more memorable things in metal than Mark Boals did.

Re: Joshua Resurrection - Opinion
Mark Boals is a fantastic singer. I have known Mark for many years and I could have chosen anyone in the world to sing my album. Many incredible lead vocalists offered to record "RESURRECTION" with me including Joe Lynn Turner of Rainbow, Jeff Scott Soto of Yngwie Malmsteen, & Jimi Jamison of Survivor. There were many, many more international singers who would have gladly accepted the chance to sing these songs. I must admit, there seems to be a lot of hostile "gossip" on these Christian metal sites. You are all entitled to your opinions. It was my choice to put the "RIGHT" vocalist with these songs I wrote. For me....Mark Boals was the closest singer to perform these songs with the power & range he possesses & yet, still sounds hefty in the higher ranges. There is no one who has Mark's ability in the higher ranges. I had many producers looking for the right man to sing these songs. Everyone agreed that only Mark Boals could have handled these songs, so I take exception with all of you here. The best man got the job, and now this album is making a difference in the world by bringing people closer to a life in Jesus, which is the only reason I write this type of music. Music for my Savior.

Re: Joshua Resurrection - Opinion
Mark Boals is one of the best singers of all-time in hard rock/heavy metal music IMHO.
Rob Rock is good too but not at that level IMHO.

Love the album. Great songs, great production. Boals did an outstanding job. He's got a classic voice for the style.
