Two New Songs From Big Chris & D'Bare Bones Band
If you would like to hear TWO new songs from my upcoming album titled "Man Overboard", be sure to check out my Reverbnation page. The first two songs are the new ones. My Big Chris & D'Bare Bones Band is a rocked out blues project that is kind of a blend of Glenn Kaiser Band, ZZ Top, and a touch of Weird Al sprinkled in.

The first song is an acapella track that sounds like it should be on a Gaither Homecoming video. It's old school 4 part harmony. I wanted more of the barbershop quartet sound but ended up with a smoother southern gospel sound. I am doing all the vocal work.
The second song is called "Bootlegger's Prayer". It's a story of a guy making moonshine who gets raided. The still explodes and he is badly burned. He ends up dying and burns again if you catch my drift. I am doing all the guitars, bass, vocals, and mixed/mastered this one. Kelly Matthews of Lordchain is on drums.
Let me know what you all think, please! Comments are welcome!

Enjoyed that seconds song. Only thing i'd criticize is the vocals are way up front seeming.

Thank you for the input! That is what I need to hear so I can make a few adjustments. I also feel that the drums are still a tad loud on that one as well.

I like it because it is so different. It will add some variety to the album seeing that my guitars have only 3 or 4 strings and are most easily played in an open G or D tuning and key. While this song is in G, it doesn't have any music making it sound different.
The acapella song is many years old. I did a southern gospel tape many years ago (GASP) and this was the final song. I had much less of an ear for harmony back then so it was really bad. Now, it sounds pretty doggone good to me.
