What has my life come to when I get a certain tickle from ordering a shopping bag. That's right, a bag to put my groceries in so I don't get charged 10 pennies. This Trader Joe bag was available at the store about 4-5 years ago for a limited time.

I ordered myself a ratchet screwdriver as a Father's Day gift to myself.     I have a cheapo one that I don't care for much, even though I use it all the time.  So this will be a nice upgrade.  Made in USA too!

I ordered some cheap mics for my church.  We don't have a band, so cheap ones will work.  I read reviews and even read conversations on some recording pages on Facebook and these were highly recommended for the price.

A new air filter for my home's indoor HVAC unit.

(actually my sister-in-law wants me to smoke a brisket for her wedding reception).

What do you use to smoke your meat?  Some friends turned us onto a kamado a few years ago and it's been awesome.

Some cheap microphones from Temu that several friends who have home recording studios that blow my setup away tried and highly recommended.  One even showed how to modify them for road worthiness because the wiring is kinda cheap.  I may do exactly what he recommended and modify them.

I have a smaller model Traeger pellet grill/smoker.  I kind of wish I had a bigger one, but they are so expensive.

^Yeah it's surprising how expensive the realm of BBQing is.  But boy can you make some fantastic meat on those things.

My wife and I enjoy shopping on these local online auctions: sorta like ebay but you pick the stuff up locally instead of having it shipped to you - so you're bidding against less people and can often get amazing deals.  Recently I got a tool bag full of sockets and ratchets.  I primarily just needed a set of deep sockets and this had two, plus 1/4" SAE and metric sets, and a ton of other misc sizes.  All for $9!

I also have a small collection of Russian lacquer painted boxes which I think are just beautiful.  I love the intricate detail, folk style, and contrast on the black settings.  Anyways, one of these auctions had a guitar thing (they called it a balalaika?) with that style so I couldn't pass it up!

I bought some outdoor string-lights for my wife's birthday, as she's been wanting some for a while.  They'll definitely make for some nice backyard ambiance. 

A thatching rake to try to get some of this clover in our lawn under control.

p.s. the string lights look great and my wife loves 'em.
