wish they would make new material. I'm not a big fan of bands remaking their old classic material. and I'm one of the biggest Petra fans of all time (see my user id). Classic Petra (the recording) SUCKED!

Really?  I thought that Classic Petra was better than the originals as it brought those albums that sound so dated due to the writing, performance, and overall production to life.  I rarely listen to anything prior to Schlitt's coming to the band, but I play that one.

I was looking forward to the CPR album with even more redone Petra classics.  At one time, both line ups wanted to redo their old stuff and then start with some new material, too, if the interest were there.  I'd like to see BOTH versions of Petra (one with Bob & John and one with Volz) return to make some new albums.

I messaged John Lawry Production and they replied that they are just looking for a good slot to do the mixing.  The CPR album is done as far as recording.
