30 years ago today I went to my first rock concert.

It was Steppenwolf, The guess Who and Rare Earth.
I still have the stub $13.50. What was your first concert?

I got a late start to attending shows.  My first was Megadeth/Exodus on the Blackmail the Universe tour.  I've lost track of how many bands I've seen since then, though most of them don't have that level of name recognition.

Firehouse, Slaughter, Quiet Riot & Warrant on 8-3-98. Fun show, but 2 negatives were that L.A. Guns didn't show up and Warrant's lead singer, Jani Lane, kept screaming at a road crew kid about guitar tuning and speaker sound for almost half of their 11 song setlist.

I think it Motley Crue/Guns n Roses.

I want to say Tony Orlando at the Circle Star Theater.

I remember my first concert, but I never kept up with dates.  I know I was 15 so that was....umm....a few years ago. (LOL)  It was AC/DC with Yngwie Malmsteen opening in Nashville, TN.  I couldn't tell you the date as I just didn't bother keeping up with that.  I kept my ticket stubs for a lot of years and decided about a decade ago to toss them.

My first was Queensryche opening for Dio back in 1983 or 84.  It was absolutely fantastic.

I saw Steppenwolf around that time too. Saw them again a couple years ago.
My first show was KISS/Cheap Trick in 1977

Slade and Mud- 11 years ago. I can't remember the exact date but I was 10 and remember it was in December just before I broke up for Christmas holidays
