I am going to have to think about this one, but Stryper has always been at the top or near the top off an on since I got into them back in 1985. I have all their albums and most of their videos.

Holy soldier first two albums

Kings x (though not strictly christian but eh we all know the history right)

White cross first 4 albums

Bride but only certain albums.

Cant think of anything else just now but those are the bands I love the most from back in the day. I also think rez were super underrated they should have been main stream like zep.

Yup, they are DOOOOM and they are excellent DOOOOM to boot! They play a pretty aggressive mix of old school doom with NWOBHM sound and up the epic factor a few notches. Their bassist/founder Albert Bell is a member here. His other two projects Forsaken and Albert Bell's Sacro Sanctus are also very quite good and come highly recommended from me!

They are, in my opinion, the best doom band going. They don't rely on slow, dragging tempos and have good, understandable vocals. They have three albums, First Light, Eternal Return, and The Darkening. All three are excellent. Kerrick and I seem to be their biggest fans around here. He'll tell you the same... no bad albums from Nomad Son. You should also try Forsaken. Very similar band, and every bit as good. Ok, I'll get off my fanboy soapbox now.

When you delve into a lot of their lyrics, they are pretty good and thought provoking. That song at that time, was pretty bold.

This is a very brutal list but my 11-15 would have probably been Horde, Antestor, Believier, Living Sacrifice, etc.

Rob Rock/Driver/Impellitteri (even though not all members are Christians on in these bands)
X-Sinner/GX/Zion
Saint
Joshua
Ken Tamplin/Shout
Deliverance
Whitecross/King James
Rez Band
Theocracy

Others are: Daniel Band, Holy Soldier, Guardian, The Brave, Idle Cure, Mastedon/heavier side of John Elefante, Siloam, Bloodgood, Angelica, Barren Cross and Sacred Warrior.

I didn't include favorites like Michael Sweet, Petra, and Magdallan/Magdalen, where these bands usually range from rock to hard rock.

I don't really agree with people who states Rob Rock and Impellitteri as a single band. They are too much different from each other, Impelliteri release its debut in the 80's, while Rob Rock did it in the 2000's, not to mention how different both bands sound and they have a completely different line-up as well(even the singer, depending on the time we are comparing with).

By the way, if you compare the line-up, then you could write: Rob Rock/Narnia

So, people should take a stand and pick only one band!

Otherwise, I would like to redo my list:

I think Rob Rock / Impellitteri is fine being counted as one.

Rob has made solo albums in between working with Impellitteri ... So the time frame is the same.

And at least to my ears, they sound pretty similar.
