What have I missed out on? Empty What have I missed out on?

I feel like I was REALLY disconnected to music this year for some reason.  I KNOW I've missed out on things, so it'd be awesome if folks could fill me in on what I've missed out on, ESPECIALLY if it's black/death/melo-death/power/thrash, or progressive variants thereof:D 

things I've heard:
Accept - Blind Rage
Agalloch - the Serpent and the Sphere
Alestorm - Sunset on the Golden Age
Brainstorm - Firesoul
Cannibal Corpse - A Skeletal Domain
Iced Earth - plagues of Babylon
In Flames - siren charms
Iron Savior - Rise of the Hero
Judas Priest - Redeemer of Souls
Mastodon - Once more round the Sun
November's Doom - Bled White
Persuader - The Fiction Maze
Sanctuary - The Year the Sun Died

So what do I  NEED to investigate?  I know this isn't really the forum for it, but I am curiously lacking in the type of stuff I usually listen to....

Well, I sang on an EP by the power metal band CAULDRON BORN and I like it.  Ever heard them?
