Re: The hardest albums to find
Yep, Sunday best by Guardian is a compilation with some B-Side songs and some live versions of his classics songs.
Arsenal- Armored Choir is pretty hard to find to, even in tape is hard to find... I have may 80 glam metal albums on tape, but this one, is a tough one.

Re: The hardest albums to find
The hardest to find -- that I know of -- is by my old band. Not one of you has it. You're not even looking for it. You don't even know it exist(s)(ed).
I think there are at least 3 copies, though. I'm sure there are plenty of albums that I have NOT heard of where there's only 1 copy. I guess those could be statistically even harder to find.

Re: The hardest albums to find
The rariety of an album depends on the person. Out of print, expensive and only available on a website for a limited time can be considered rare. I have obtained most of the rare/semi-rare CDs I want:
Angelica - s/t and Walking in Faith
Deliverance - Live At Cornerstone 2001
Fear Not
Guardian - Kingdom of Rock, Delicious Bite Sized Meat Pies, Voyager and Fusion, Live At Cornerstone
Holy Soldier - Myrrh Records versions of the first 2 CDs.
Impellitteri - Stand In Line with the 4 Impellitteri black EP songs as bonus tracks with a total of 13 tracks, Grin and Bear It, Answer to the Master, Screaming Symphony, Eye of the Hurricane/Victim of the System, Live! Fast! Loud!, Crunch, Victim of the System EP, Fuel for the Fire EP, Faster than the Speed of Light - The Very Best of Impellitteri
Joshua - Intense Defense RCA Records version, Surrender Words records 1992 burgundy cover version
King James - King James
Mastedon - Lofcaudio Pakaderm Records and It's a Jungle Out There Frontiers Records version
Rez Band - Innocent Blood, 20 Years Live, Civil Rites, Reach of Love, Lament, Ampendectomy - all are original Word Records/Ocean/Grrr Records original pressings.
Ken Tamplin - Brave Days of Old, Liquid Music Compilation, Tamplin, In the Witness Box, Soul Survivor, Axe to Grind
Shout - all of them
X-Sinner - Get It and Peace Treaty
White Cross - Hammer and Nail to To The Limit on Star Song Records and the rest of them. I don't have the original s/t on Pure Metal Records or Star Song Records version.
White Heart - Don't Wait for the Movie to Redemption.
Recon - Behind Enemy Lines and Live At Cornerstone
Daniel Band - Live At Cornerstone
Siloam - Sweet Destiny and Dying to Live
Sacred Warrior - Orginal Intense Records versions of Wicked Generation, Master's Command and Obsessions and Classics
Bloodgood - Original versions of Alive In America and Shakin the World on CD.
I may have others that I can't remember now. I am trying to fond the first 3 Idle Cure CDs for a decent price, Rock Power Praise volume 1 Hymns, Rez Band Hostage and Bootleg and Stryper To Hell With the Devil angel cover and the Yellow and Black Attack 9 song version from CBS Sony Japan.
Sometimes the hunt for a rare CD is just as much fun as getting the CD. It's all in the experience.

White Heart - Don't Wait for the Movie to Redemption.
I actually got "Don't Wait For The Movie" for free from LaLa back when they were still a functioning swapping site. The rest of their albums from that point on I had successfully found at used CD stores a few years ago.

Wasn't this made available as a free download (or do you want a physical disc)? If not then I have a dodgy copy...

Re: The hardest albums to find
I have been able to track down most of the rare stuff that I'm looking for, but for the life of me, I still haven't been able to find a copy of these:
Lust Control "Cheap Alternatives to Empty-Vee" (VHS)
Drop Dead "Ending the Sadness"
External Decease demo tape
Deracination demo tape
Most of the rare stuff I own has taken YEARS to track down. But there are a few keys to tracking down this stuff:
1) Constant searching
2) Not dying
3) Willingness to part with enough cash to finance Monaco for a month
If you possess these three traits, you will eventually succeed.

Re: The hardest albums to find
The first release (cassette only) of Towne Cryer.
There was a band called Golgotha who had a demo I looked for for ages, ages, and ages, but Stevegarveyfan sold it to me a few years ago. That was great!

Both. Apparently only like 15 CDs were made. It was up on the website for a free download (sans one track) but now that website is gone...

Re: The hardest albums to find
I have quite a few rare ones.
One of my jewels is definitely Slechtvalk - Falconry. Boy did I pay for that one.
Some others that I've gotten my hands on, randomly:
Antivenom
Cerimonial Sacred
Elgibbor - The Imminent Invasion and The Dungeons of Hell, which I had to buy from Fire himself
Sorrowstorm - any release
Vaakevandring demo
And a bunch of others I can't think of right now.

Yeah those are good'uns!
I have the 2004 re-release of that. Got that one fairly recently from a member here. Love it! Back in the day, EEE had a lot of unblack releases of qty 50. I have a few of those like the Erasmus EP, some Flaskavsae, etc.

The one I've been searching for forever is Drop Dead - Death By Fusion. Apparently not many were pressed but supposed to be a good death/thrash band. Never seen a copy for sale but I hear they fetch high prices.

Re: The hardest albums to find
I have the Death By Fusion CD, and pretty much the only tracks worth hearing are the tracks from the Our Forgotten Destiny demo tape. And THOSE songs are not merely worth hearing; they are unsung masterpieces. Stunningly good. Yes but you can still find Songs From The Archives for a reasonable price and it has that EP included.
