Re: Recently Watched Movies
Inside Out-Very good, but much more serious and emotional than the promotional material made it out to be. Dont get me wrong, there are hilarious moments all through the film, but dont expect a typical Disney animated comedy (it's more like a dramedy actually).

The problem with Spidey 2 was that Electro wasn't a billion. He was just socially awkward and fell into some bad choices. They should have made him more cold hearted and power hungry. As it was, he came off more as the first special needs super vilian.deathisgain wrote:Re-watched The Amazing Spider-Man 2. I agree. I also thought that they tried to do too much with it. It had three endings, dragged in the middle and Rhino was a complete mess.
Re: Recently Watched Movies
We will be watching the new Cinderella (hey, I live I. A house full of girls, gimme a break!) and the a Pirates of the Carribean marathon!

All my ladies love the new Cinderella, and I did watch it with them. It's actually pretty good.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
My oldest daughter loves Totoro. It is her favorite movie. We have Totoro stickers all over the house and even on the back window of our van. My wife likes to paint and she painted a Totoro painting on canvas for our daughter.
But latest movies watched, we sat down as a family last night and watched Little Rascals (1994?). The kids loved it. My plans were to watch football or the Twilight Zone but I was asleep on the couch by 8:30 (so much for NY's Eve!)

Re: Recently Watched Movies
We plan on watching this over the weekend. A great Tim Burton film that is not as weird as some of his other stuff. It is called Big Fish. About an old guy on his death bed. He has told "Big Fish" stories his entire life and continues to do so even as he is dying. My wife and I love the movie.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
Welp, plans have changed. The wife wants to go shopping (a rare occurrence!), so no POTC marathon for me. Kid films will be pushed back a few hours, but will still be watched. Glad to hear it's decent.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
Just re-watched "The Keep"
I don't think I have watched it since the early 80's. I think it could have been a better movie with a few tweaks. It has quite a few big name actors (Ian McKellen for one, even tho his acting is not on par with more recent movies). The worst aspect of the film might be the Tangerine Dream soundtrack.

I watched that one for the first time a few years ago. I thought it started out really well and overall was a very cool movie, though as I recall things got kind of out of hand towards the end and it became quite silly. I wouldn't mind re-watching it though.

Yeah, I have a little 4 year old daughter ... and I love her SO much that I never thought it possible to love this much! I love both my kids ... but my daughter is my little princess. So if she wants to watch "princess" movies - we watch princess movies!!! And that's that! Hehehe.
So I've saw the new Cinderella once at the theater - and now of course on DVD. Good movie.
This weekend we watched:
Because of Winn-Dixie
&
Meet the Robinsons

Yeah the ending was a little of a let down. I read that there were a few different endings. I think some got scrapped because the FX guy died during the filming.

Watched "The Quiet Ones" on Hulu Plus.
It wasn't bad.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
MI- Rogue State.
I found it quite dull. Cliche after cliche, too many obvious tries to have somewhat eroticised moments nobody needs. At least the haha-scenes with mister Shaun Of The Dead were a bit more subtle. It was too long also.
