Rank Switchfoot Albums
I've only listened to a few and I want to see what people who have heard more think.
Nothing Is Sound
Fav Song: Easier Than Love
The Beautiful Letdown
Fav Song: Ammunition (H.M. to 24)
H.M.
Hello Hurricane. I haven't fully listened so I can't properly rank it but it sounds awesome so far.
This Is Home. Doesn't appear on any albums but it's a great song, might be my fav SF ballad(other than 24)
The Legend Of Chin. I only know the first few songs but I like them.
I'm going to wait to vote till I know the other albums better.

I'm also curious what everyone thinks is the heaviest(or most hard rock) SF album.

Meant to Live is probably their best song I've heard, but I've gotta give it to Legend of Chin. I might be biased bc that album's nostalgic for me, but it's got so many good songs on it and I love the sound.
Re: Rank Switchfoot Albums
I’ll give it to Nothing Is Sound, but this is really hard.
Top 6—can’t pick just 5—in release order:
New Way to Be Human
The Beautiful Letdown
Nothing Is Sound
Oh! Gravity
Vice Verses
Where the Light Shines Through

Would you say that NIS is the heaviest as well?Pethead wrote:I’ll give it to Nothing Is Sound, but this is really hard.

I am only really familiar with Where the Light Shines Through, and from that album If the House Burns Down Tonight, Holy Water, and Healer of Souls are pretty good

I've saw them live in 2021 but don't remember any rock songs let alone heavy songs. I suppose that's all they are today, light alternative?

If you haven't you should listen to Stars, Easier Than Love, Meant To Live, Mess Of Me, and Ammunition.Frozen Fire wrote:I've saw them live in 2021 but don't remember any rock songs let alone heavy songs. I suppose that's all they are today, light alternative?

I only ever had Legend of Chin when it came out. I liked some of it alright. But then I listened to a bit of New Way to Be Human and it was too poppy for me. Never went back. I didn't realize they had recorded so many albums since. I tried a sampling based on the recommendations here and I still don't like them. Too radio friendly (but boring) for my tastes. What's the attraction?

I really enjoy their music. The Beautiful Letdown and Nothing Is Sound are the best albums. I haven't heard NWTBH.strangerhoncho wrote:I only ever had Legend of Chin when it came out.
