Brotality Genre
What genre does everyone think Brotality is? I turned on multiple choice because I need it. They are a mix of Thrash and Djent imo. The Hypernova E.P was just straight Djent.

Whatever genre Gojira is, is what they are.
Where is the option for "None of the Above"?

Gojira have pretty much all those influences too, what is your point?

Post metal is the most meaningless descriptor of music there is.

I dunno, if someone says a band is post-metal, I at least have an idea of what they're going to sound like. Similar to the "progressive" identifier: it may not actually be progressive in the true sense of the word, but you can guess that they'll have some significant Dream Theater influence in their style and sound.

I still have no idea what “post” means musically, and I have heard it applied to pretty much every genre you can think of. Best idea I have is that post metal is like a more “chill” version of whatever metal genre “post” comes in front of?

It’s like postmillennialism—it makes you think, “what even is this craziness?”

I've seen post used for every genre of metal, maybe I'm too old to get it.Kerrick wrote:Black Rider wrote:Post metal is the most meaningless descriptor of music there is.
