I've described before but when I first got it, when it came out, I
could not stand the falsetto...forward 34 years... absolutely love it.
Guy is at the top of my vocalist list and STB is top 5 all-time.

That bruh was meant to be directed at myself, not you. But it didn't really look like it.Black Rider wrote:Ok, I was making a play on words. Bruh.

Other than that, I think they're fairly well executed.
Lots of speed metal bands were doing that whole "over the top" vocal thing around the same time. Riot immediately comes to mind, but I know there were others.

It’s a part of the charm of that album. It’s just one album…

Yes, that doesn't mean his are good though. I love Iron Maiden, Deliverance, Muse etc. But they're not really executed well on STB. I prefer the vocals on POD and PS. I don't HATE the vocals on STB but I lean more towards not liking them then eh... It doesn't mean I don't like the album though, musically it's awesome.Superjuice wrote:I don't know what the big deal is. Falsetto has been big in metal for over a decade before STB came out. Halford, Tate, Diamond, and Midnight all set the stage for Ritter.
