It is, although Take Me to Your Leader had some good hard rocking moments. For the Newsboys, anyway.

I love the Newsboys(especially older stuff) and they're a great rock band but J&H is much heavier than anything the Newsboys have ever done. Really any Petra past This Means War! is heavier than the Newsboys

Again, it depends on how you define heavy. I’d say thrash is heavy, but a lot of thrash is in standard or only a half step down.

Again, it depends on how you define heavy. I’d say thrash is heavy, but a lot of thrash is in standard or only a half step down.

Yes this is true. But I don't think that Sanity Obscure (which is mostly d tuning) would sound the same in standard. Same for Weapons by Big D(which is mostly half step down). But J&H is, imo, definitely metal. You don't have to tune done to be heavy (Am I Savage? by Metallica is a great example) but tuning down can get much heavier then standard. Sad But True, TTTSNB, Some Kind Of Monster, literally any Meshuggah song (except the main riff for Bleed can actually be played in standard but whatever.)

I never put any on a scale, but they all seem like they would weight about the same to me!!!

I wish this was a poll instead. Then I could anonymously vote for Jekyll and Hyde without the criticism. Jekyll and Hyde was love at first listen in 2003. Is it heavy metal? Do I care?!! I know what I like.

J&H is great, I just prefer the 81–93 era.
